of the Suleman Dawood School of Business is
to select those men and women whose intellectual
capacity, managerial potential and personal
characteristics best qualify them to pursue
careers in management. |
|
|
|

place at LUMS, applicants will be assessed on
the following criteria: |

resulting in a Masters or Bachelors degree
from an HEC recognized University. *

less than four years duration will be required
to produce an HEC equivalence certificate of
completion of 16 years of education. |
|
|
|
There are
no age restrictions |
|
|
|
The Admissions
Office will first review the applications to

that LUMS will require directly from Educational

submit or mail a copy of the unofficial GMAT
score as soon as they take the test. The
LUMS code for receiving GMAT scores from ETS

LUMS MBA Admissions is January 22, 2008. GMAT

LUMS
Management Admission Test (LMAT) |
|
|
|
LMAT is offered
as an internal test of LUMS. |
|
|
|
Applicants have the option
to take either GMAT or LMAT. Both tests
carry equal weightage for MBA Admissions. |
|
|
|
The written part of the test
is designed to assess the applicant's ability
to think logically about a specific issue, reading
and comprehension caliber, and capability to
formulate ideas and communicate them effectively
in English. The numerical portion of the test
is designed to assess the quantitative skills
of the applicants. |
| |
| LMAT will
be conducted simultaneously in Lahore, Karachi
and Islamabad. |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
Note:
Taking the entrance test is not the same
as applying for admission. You need to submit
the application for admission separately. To
apply for admission please click
here. |
| |
Work Experience |
|
|
|
Preference is given to applicants
with prior work experience. This experience
in turn demonstrates the applicant’s managerial
potential and intellectual maturity. Evaluation
is based on the quantity and quality of the
full-time work experience, and candidates are
encouraged to acquire work experience of between
1–2 years before applying to the LUMS
MBA Programme. This requirement, however, is
not mandatory for admission to the MBA Program.
Candidates having an exceptional academic track
record complemented by a very high GMAT/LMAT
score, with the experience of a few internships,
are also considered for admission. |
|
|
Interview Performance |
|
|
|
A merit for
interview short listing is established on academic
ranking, work experience (if any) and test score
performance of the candidates. Those who qualify
this comparative ranking are called for interview.
|
|
|
|
The interview
is a key indicator of the potential of MBA candidates
to become worthy professional managers. During
the interview, the Admissions Committee tries
to assess the applicant's communication skills,
managerial potential, thinking ability, subject
knowledge and level of awareness of general
issues. Final decision regarding admission will
be taken after the interview. |
