The University's
policy is to admit students purely on merit.
A candidate's financial status or background
are not factors that come into consideration.
Several funding
opportunities are available for the students.
In 2005 more than Rs 12.1 million in financial
aid was given solely to graduate students in
the Computer Science/Computer Engineering Department.
PhD students also receive tuition waiver as
well as a monthly stipend on merit. They are
also provided with office space on campus. External
scholarships are availed by many graduate students
as well.
