Admission Criteria

| The University's
policy is to admit students purely on merit,
based on: |

- Academic record
- GRE Mathematics
- Information provided in the application
form
- Interview performance

| |
Academic Record |
| |
| A minimum
of 16 years of education leading to a degree
recognized by the Higher Education Commission,
Pakistan is required. Any one of the following
academic qualifications satisfies the eligibility
requirements for admission |

- Four-year Bachelors Degree in Mathematics
with CGPA of at least 2.7 on a scale of
4.0
- First division in both MSc Mathematics
and BSc (two-year)

| |
| Candidates,
who have degrees from such institutions that
are not listed with the Higher Education Commission,
will be required to get an equivalence certificate
from the Commission. |

Entrance Test |
| |
| Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Mathematics
|
| |
| GRE taken
more than five years before the admission deadline
will not be considered valid. Only those results
will be accepted that are received directly
from the Educational Testing Service (ETS),
USA. |

Taking the entrance test is not the same
as applying for admission. You need to submit

| Interview |
| |
| Applicants
to the PhD Mathematics program will have to
appear for an interview. They will initially
be prescreened on the basis of academic performance
and GRE Mathematics scores. After the prescreening
stage, they will be called for an interview. |
