Financial Aid

The University's policy is to admit students purely on merit regardless of their financial status or background. The PhD Mathematics programme offers a full tuition fee waiver to all students who are not funded from other sources. Other forms of financial assistance include a stipend of up to Rs 20,000 per month to outstanding and/or deserving students. Teaching assistantships may also be available to selected students.

In case a student gets funding from some other source, the amount of fee waiver given by LUMS will be adjusted accordingly. Fee waiver is given for a period of five years. However, in exceptional cases Financial Aid Committee may review the case for fee waiver beyond five years.
