Dr. Nabeel teaches a diversified portfolio of courses including the Business Case for Climate Action, Environmental Research Methods and Water Politics at LUMS University. Dr. Nabeel also serves as a trainer and facilitator for climate and environmental studies for National Institute of Public Administration and Pakistan Administrative Services.

She completed her Ph.D in Development Studies from the University of Sussex (UK) with a research focus on the political ecology of climate and environmental governance, exploring the historical evolution of groundwater (non) governance in the Indus Basin of Pakistan from the colonial to the contemporary period.

Dr. Nabeel has worked to support the Ministry of Climate Change under the UN’s Living Indus Initiative, and variously with UNFAO, UNDP, Rural Support Program Network, Lead Pakistan, DAI, and policy research organisations such as OPLN, Atlantic Council, and Conciliation Resources on a breadth of policy issues in the climate and water resilience space.
