Law Graduate Mehmood Khosa Admitted to Harvard University
We're proud to share that Mehmood Ahmed Khosa, a recent graduate of the BA-LL.B Class of 2023, has been admitted to Harvard University for his graduate studies!
In addition to Harvard, Mehmood also received offers from top institutions including Stanford, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Chicago, NYU, Boston University, and the University of Michigan.
Khosa’s time at LUMS was shaped by a culture of excellence, critical thinking, and inclusivity. Surrounded by people and opportunities that constantly pushed him to aim higher, he engaged deeply with transformative initiatives, including LUMSx, the Skardu Exchange Programme, and the CEO Retreat in Hunza through the Office of the Vice Chancellor. He also contributed to pedagogical partnerships at the LUMS Learning Institute. These experiences deepened his interest in education and strengthened his leadership skills. “LUMS taught me that true growth lies in asking questions, stepping outside your comfort zone, and taking ownership of your own story,” he says.
When applying to graduate schools, Khosa approached the process with a strong sense of purpose. “I applied with full conviction. It was never just about personal academic success. It was about how I could use what I learn to uplift others, especially through education in Pakistan,” he explains. He believes this clarity of vision played a key role in his acceptances. “Top universities are looking for more than strong academic records. They want individuals who dream beyond themselves and care about impact.”
Khosa credits LUMS for giving him the resilience, direction, and ambition to pursue his goals with confidence. “The support I found here, from mentors and peers to the intellectual environment, made all the difference.”
LUMS congratulates Khosa on his admission to Harvard and wishes him continued success as he embarks on this next chapter of growth and purpose.
